The ASPIS Academy Twinning Program was developed to help Early-Stage Researchers (ESRs) explore opportunities for research stays in other institutions, fostering collaboration and skill-sharing across the ASPIS network.
To make this process easier, the ASPIS Academy has produced the Manual for ESR Mobility from the ASPIS Academy Twinning Program, now available to all ESRs – including those in future consortia. The manual distils practical advice on every stage of arranging a secondment, from identifying your ideal host lab to securing funding, ensuring you make the most out of your stay.
The Manual of the ASPIS Academy Twinning Program covers:
- How to identify your target institution that aligns best with your research interests.
- The bullet points to justify your selection by crafting a strong statement of the purpose for your stay.
- Contacting the lab’s Principal Investigator (PI), including ASPIS Academy support and official endorsement.
- An extensive list to find funding opportunities – from local and national grants to EU programmes such as Erasmus+, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), and Horizon Europe.
- How to organise your visit, including setting objectives, timelines, and travel arrangements.
This manual ensures that the knowledge gathered in the Twinning Program can benefit researchers well into the future. Let’s continue building connections, sharing expertise, and opening doors for the next generation of scientists!
