Julen is a postdoctoral researcher at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, working on in vitro liver toxicity testing of chemicals. As part of ONTOX project, he is currently involved in setting up liver-based in vitro test batteries to detect cholestasis and steatosis. Julen declares that ASPIS Academy provides the optimal network to grow as a scientist, securing collaborations with other early career researchers and giving opportunities to learn from senior colleagues.

Eliška is the former chair of the ASPIS Academy and represents the ONTOX project. She is a postdoctoral researcher working at the Leibniz Research Institute for Environmental Medicine in Germany. She is fascinated by the complexity of brain development and is developing human-relevant New Approach Methodologies that assess the impacts of chemicals on brain development.

Peter is a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre of Experimental Medicine at the  Slovak Academy of Sciences. His work focuses on in vitro safety testing of medical devices, pharmaceutical products, and chemicals. As part of ONTOX project, he contributes to the Communication and Dissemination team.

Rita is a postdoctoral researcher at ProtoQSAR in Valencia, Spain. Her work focuses on computational strategies for toxicity prediction, data curation workflows, and data management tasks. Within ONTOX, she contributes to the development and evaluation of computational tools to predict toxicological activities and support their integration into next-generation risk assessment frameworks.

Klára is a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre of Experimental Medicine at the  Slovak Academy of Sciences. Her work focuses on in vitro safety testing of medical devices, pharmaceutical products, and chemicals. As part of ONTOX project, she contributes to the Communication and Dissemination team.

Devon is a PhD candidate at Utrecht University (Netherlands) working on developing in vitro approaches to predict kidney toxicity based on molecular mechanisms. As part of the ONTOX project, he focuses on building and validating high-throughput test batteries and adverse outcome pathway frameworks for nephrotoxicity, integrating transcriptomic and mechanistic data to improve non-animal risk assessment methods.

Eike is a PhD student at the University of Konstanz. As part of RISK-HUNT3R he is working on in-vitro methods for detecting toxicant-induced changes of human neuronal signalling and function.

Hiba is a PhD candidate at Jagiellonian University, focusing her research on the investigation of models for cardiac electrophysiology. She is contributing to the RISK-HUNT3R project by working on building and calibrating PBPK models and developing qAOP models for toxicity prediction. Beyond academia, she enjoys crocheting, embroidery, gymnastics, and cooking.

Marije is an assistant professor at Leiden University aiming to identify molecular mechanisms of toxicity through the development of advanced in vitro test systems that are fit for this purpose. As part of RISK-HUNT3R, through the application of omics and imaging approaches, affected gene networks for different areas within the chemical space or specific pathologies can be identified.
