ASPIS Open Symposium 2024 – registration now open!

The ASPIS Open Symposium is an annual meeting of the members of the ASPIS cluster formed by the three Horizon 2020 consortia: ONTOXPrecisionTox, and RISK-HUNT3R, and the wider scientific community focusing on advancing the safety assessment of chemicals without the use of animal testing. The fourth annual ASPIS OS takes place in Copenhagen, Denmark on 11-12 September 2024.

The meeting will be entirely in-person.

Agenda

The symposium will present the latest work of the ASPIS cluster formed by the three Horizon 2020 consortia: ONTOXPrecisionTox, and RISK-HUNT3R, focusing on the implementation of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) for chemical risk assessment.

Day 1, external-facing part of the event, will begin directly after the 58th Congress of the European Societies of Toxicology (EUROTOX) on the afternoon of Wednesday, 11 September, and will be open to all cluster members and guests.

Day 2 (Thursday, 12 September) will focus on internal audience and participation of external guests will be by invitation only.

Poster Submission

During an evening session on Day 1, all ASPIS cluster members will have the opportunity to present their research through posters. This session aims to stimulate discussions on pertinent scientific questions within PrecisionTox, ONTOX, and RISK-HUNT3R, fostering collaboration among partners. We particularly encourage young researchers and ASPIS Academy members to exhibit their work.

Poster submissions should focus on either:

  1. Research at PrecisionTox, ONTOX, or RISK-HUNT3R partner institutions directly contributing to ASPIS.
  2. Collaborative ASPIS Working Groups’ research.

Interested in presenting a poster? Indicate during registration. To submit a poster, please fill the following form:

Following the poster session on Wednesday 11th September, members of the ASPIS Academy will organise a networking sightseeing tour of Copenhagen. All young (and young at heart!) researchers are invited and encouraged to join. More information on this social event will be shared closer to the date.
